Why is the question mark OUTSIDE the quotation mark on question #1 of Chp 6 "Pearl?" I've taught English, grade 9-12, and there is NO published rule calling for that contruction.

You should probably update the new MLA citation rules. Titles are no longer underlined. They are italicized. You're probably confusing a lot of college students who are trying to learn the updated rules (like me!)

You might want to correct your example of magazine and newspaper articles. There is no period after the magazine/newspaper title.
