the guy with the blond hair is soda, as he has blonde hair, the guy with the navy vest is ponyboy, ponyboy wears that vest in the book, the one with the white tshirt is defentely darry, as he looks the oldest their, and darry has been described as looking old for his age, and the person right at the bottom is most likely to be dally if not then johny

I believe that the the guy with the biggest head is Ponyboy, the guy with the blond hair is Dally, the smallest one is Johnny, and the other one is Bob. This represents the main character (ponyboy) and the 3 people who died.

I find the 1997 book cover the best because of it's symbolism to the town they live in and how serious the book actually is.
