Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros.: Ultimate Super Smash Bros. is one of Nintendo’s crown jewels and the most popular fighting game in the world. The last game in the series so far was released only on the Nintendo Switch and has won the hearts of millions of gamers. It so happens that because of its history and exclusivity, SSB is known only to fans of the genre or owners of the Nintendo console.
Unlike any other fighting game you’ll encounter in this text, in Super Smash Bros., the player is not faced with killing his opponent as violently as possible. Instead, here you have to throw him out of the arena, using all sorts of punches and character skills to do so. The strange and seemingly “childish” concept turns the battles into fierce duels, which by the heat of passion, could quickly shut up the same Mortal Kombat 11.
The character roster consists of characters from Nintendo franchises we’ve known since childhood, and there are plenty of guests from other series as well. Injustice 2

The Street Fighter series was born at almost the same time as Mortal Kombat and has not stood still all this time either. It evolved game mechanics, new fighters, improved graphics. At the same time, the series for a long time remained attractive only for advanced players who could understand its gameplay and begin to enjoy it. We can say that it was in the fifth part that Capcom corrected this shortcoming and opened Street Fighter for everyone.
Unlike previous installments, combinations in Street Fighter V are mostly built from a sequence of “series of punches and a skill.” In contrast, in the last games, you had to train to perform even a simple combo for a long time. Soulcalibur is also famous for the presence of guest characters from other franchises. For example, in the third part, the players could fight for Spaun, and in the sixth roster added the famous Geralt of Rivia. The developers so liked the Witcher that he was given a place on the cover.
Tekken 7
The Tekken series is very similar to Soulcalibur, but it has no edged weapons. Instead, the fighters here fight only with a variety of fighting techniques collected from worldwide.
The battles in Tekken 7 have incredible visuals, supported by a perfectly matched camera. The virtual operator always tries to show every stroke and combination as close as possible. All fighters have dozens of different techniques to be combined for maximum effect.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Dragon Ball FighterZ suddenly burst onto the Steam charts and has become one of the most popular fighting games in recent memory – and for a good reason.
It is probably the first animated representative of the genre that is very friendly to novice players. The combat system in Dragon Ball FighterZ is straightforward, but at the same time, quite profound. You can get the hang of it in literally half an hour, but it can take many weeks to perfect your skills. 
Killer Instinct
It is probably the most unpopular fighting game in our selection. It just so happens that Killer Instinct was released quite a long time ago and only on Xbox One – the console that is not so popular here. Later the game appeared on computers, where it has gained some fame and found its audience.
Killer Instinct is easy to master. There are no fundamentally complex strokes or skills in the game, and it takes only 30-50 minutes to memorize the new character in training mode. In addition, the list of fighters is impressive: there’s a toad from Battletoads, and Spider-Girl Sadira, who knows how to weave a web and throw knives.
